Service Description
Join us for two Iranian choreographies on 12/14 at 11am and 1:30pm: 11:00am-12:30pm: Beginner choreography Azizam is a modern, fast-paced, and fun choreography set to the song "Azizam" by the world-renowned Iranian artist Googoosh and the Irish artist Ed Sheeran. Azizam means “my dear,” which is used as a term of endearment when calling out to a lover, close friend, or a family member. Get ready to sweat and laugh with this high-energy choreography! 1:30-3:00pm: Intermediate-advanced choreography "Afat Joonam" is set to a 1960s song called “Shod Shod, Nashod Nashod” by the Iranian singer Afat. This contemporary choreography is flowing, expressive, and precise. We’ll learn about the rich history of the Iranian musical style called Roohozi (meaning “on top of the pool”) or Koocheh Bazaari (meaning “streets of the bazaar”).
